Research interests
My research interests are broadly in low-cost identification devices
and security. My current research is focused on the design and security
of pseudorandom number generators (PRNG) for UHF EPC Gen2 RFID, and its
security and privacy issues.
I am also interested in the security and privacy of HF RFID, and
low-cost sensor networks such as WISP.
Short bio
I was born in Maó, Menorca,
a beautiful island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. I moved to
Barcelona to study B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
I realized my M.Sc. Thesis at Mobile Communications
department of Aalborg
Universitet (Denmark).
After that period I worked as a RFID Project Engineer at AIDA Centre company and
I simultaneously studied a M.Sc. in Information and Network Society at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. I
received a grant to join the Internet
Interdisciplinary Institute as a graduate student for Ph.D.
realization, researching in Information Security and RFID in the KISON Research Group. My advisors are
Dr. Jordi
Herrera Joancomartí and Dr. Joaquín Garcia Alfaro.
Besides from my academic activity I co-founed the NGO Telecos Sense
Fronteres (telecomms without borders), with the goal to improve
the health and education systems of non-developed countries by means of
communication technology. We're currently implementing a communications system
between health centers in south Nicaragua's atlantic region.
